Children’s National Hospital is seeking a full time Pediatric Electrophysiologist in the Division of Cardiology and the Heart Center in Washington, D.C. Children’s National Hospital is a stand-alone pediatric hospital dedicated to caring for children and adults with congenital heart disease, inherited heart disease, and acquired pediatric cardiac conditions.

Ideal candidates should be Board certified or eligible Pediatric Cardiologists and have a dedicated 4th year subspecialty training in Pediatric Electrophysiology. Adult congenital experience is encouraged. An individual must have a passion for and excellence in clinical and interventional management of arrhythmias and cardiac implantable electronic devices. Education, research and innovation are integral parts of the position. As a pediatric electrophysiologist in the Heart Center, service will include outpatient clinics; inpatient consultation service; interventional rhythm management including ablation therapy, cardiac device implantation and extraction; inherited arrhythmia evaluation and management; and other procedures such as cardioversion and provocative drug challenges. Specialty consultation and collaboration in the Children’s National Heart Center is with our busy general cardiology inpatient and outpatient services, Fetal Cardiology, Advanced Cardiac Therapies heart failure and transplant service, large Adult Congenital program, Advanced Imaging including an interventional cardiac MRI suite, a 26-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Anesthesia, and Cardiac Surgery.

The successful candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
