PACES Lifetime Achievement Award
Criteria & Nomination Process
The PACES Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated sustained excellence and enduring contributions to the field of pediatric and congenital electrophysiology. The award honors a career distinguished by leadership, innovation, scholarship, education, and commitment to the care of patients with cardiac rhythm disorders.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
This annual award is open to active or retired healthcare professionals who have made significant and sustained contributions to the management of cardiac rhythm disorders in pediatric and congenital heart disease populations.
Nominees should demonstrate distinction in one or more of the following areas:
- Exceptional leadership and vision that have advanced the field of pediatric and congenital electrophysiology
- Outstanding commitment to education, mentorship, and the training of future generations of clinicians and investigators
- Exemplary professionalism, service, and leadership as a role model within the electrophysiology community
- Excellence in research and scholarship resulting in meaningful advances in scientific knowledge or clinical care
- Career-long contributions that have had a significant and lasting impact on the field and on the lives of patients and families
Nomination Process
A complete nomination package must include:
- A nomination letter from a PACES member that includes the nominee’s name, contact information, and a summary of the candidate’s accomplishments relevant to the award.
- Two letters of support describing specific examples of the nominee’s contributions and their impact on the field. Letters of support are not required to be submitted by PACES members.
Nominees may be from any country and are not required to be members of PACES.
Submission and Review
Nomination packages should be addressed to the PACES Executive Committee and submitted electronically to the current PACES President no later than January 31 to be considered for that calendar year's award.
Nominations will remain active for consideration for up to three consecutive award cycles following the initial submission.
Award Presentation
The PACES Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented at the annual PACES Scientific Sessions.
