The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Michigan is seeking a full-time pediatric electrophysiologist at the Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor level. Candidates should be board-eligible/certified in pediatric cardiology, subspecialty trained in pediatric electrophysiology (EP), and have certification or planned certification from the IBHRE in pediatric electrophysiology and/or cardiac devices.

The ideal candidate should excel in their ability to work as part of a team, have demonstrated competence and skill in the performance of pediatric electrophysiology procedures, and have a high potential for academic contributions. Active participation in PACES and an interest in adult congenital heart disease EP are also highly favored. As the program has a long history of training pediatric electrophysiology fellows, instructional and mentorship abilities are essential.

The selected candidate will join 2 full time pediatric electrophysiologists, a fetal arrhythmia specialist, 2 nurse practitioners and a pediatric electrophysiology fellow in training to provide comprehensive electrophysiology services to the University of Michigan Congenital Heart Center and a regional network of referring pediatric cardiologists. The Congenital Heart Center EP program performs approximately 150-180 catheter ablation procedures a year, 50-60 CIED procedures, supports CIED implants in the operating room, and provides outpatient, in-patient and remote consultation.
