Call for Editor-in-Chief of Heart Rhythm

Heart Rhythm [hrs2.informz.net] is a unique journal for heart rhythm-related studies focused both on fundamental discovery and clinical applicability and is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Editor-in-Chief.

The Heart Rhythm journal Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the solicitation, submission, evaluation, peer review, and selection of scientific and related materials for publication, including research reports, review articles, clinical studies, case reports, editorials, and special issues. The application deadline has been extended to March 1, 2023.

The ideal candidate for Editor-in-Chief must possess:
  • A strong vision for Heart Rhythm's development, with a focus on enhancing digital offerings and expanding the journal's social media presence
  • A profound commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and access in the development of the editorial board, authorship, and content
  • International professional recognition in the field of cardiac electrophysiology and pacing
    An understanding of basic and clinical science in the field of cardiac electrophysiology
  • Extensive publication history
  • Prior reviewer and editorial experience
  • Familiarity with and enthusiastic interest in the editorial process, including peer review and publication ethics
  • Experience serving in a leadership role for a peer-reviewed journal
  • Adherence to the Heart Rhythm Society's Code of Ethics and Policies [hrs2.informz.net], including relationships with industry and disclosure requirements
  • Strong work ethic and a reputation for fairness
  • Active membership with the Heart Rhythm Society
  • Resources will be available to support the Editor-in-Chief, including an annual honorarium, staff, a managing editor, a web-based manuscript submission process, and a peer review and tracking tool.
