Northwestern University and the Jackson Laboratory have collaborated to develop a free online course, Identifying Red Flags and Patterns for Hereditary Cardiovascular Disease. This skill-based course is designed to help cardiology clinicians and trainees assess the risk for a genetic condition using patients’ personal and family history.

Highlights of the course include:
  • Free, online and on-demand
  • Case-based and interactive
  • Completion takes 15-30 minutes
  • Eligible for CME and CNE credits
This course is appropriate for practicing cardiology clinicians as well as students and residents. The site will ask users to log-in or make a log-in username/password. The log-in is for continuing education credit. Users can choose the pathway that best suits you (CME vs. CNE, depending on medical or nursing certification).
